Warrior Queen Illustration Art - 1987 Signed

Media Type: Pencil and Ink
Art Type: Interior Page
Genre: Sword & Sorcery/Conan
Artists: Brad Gorby penciller

This Is an Illio that Brad found done primarily for himself ,but eventually got published in 1987 . He says he can't recall where this illustration was published , either in Jabberwocky Graphix or possibly Dragon Magazine , it was done 20 years ago. Based loosely on the historical Queen of the Icenae , Boudicca who almost succeeded in unifying the Britons in 47 AD and kicking the Romans out of England . This illustration actually served as a precursor to another " Warrior Queen " and her Rottweilers that was done in the mid-90's that was published in SQ Productions Gallery Girls Collection Art Book Warrior Queens , my Amazon Queen Hippolyta . Rendered in pen and ink on Strathmore Bristol board , being 20 years old that's about all Brad said he can remember about it . It measures 9 and 1/4 inches by 11 and 3/4 inches with a " live art " area of 8 and 1/2 inches by 11 inches.
